The Sewanee Summer Music Festival offers an intensive four-week program to talented young instrumentalists ages 12 through graduate school. Rehearsal, performance, individual practice and recreation are carefully balanced at the Festival.

Each summer at Sewanee, aspiring young musicians gather to study, perform, and share their musical lives. The atmosphere is intense but supportive. Faculty mentors work closely with their students, and learning takes place across a full spectrum of activities. Students perform at least twice weekly—both orchestra and chamber music—and attend faculty and guest artist concerts, master classes, and other special events.
