2020 Virtual SSMF Honors Recitals

Applications are now open for the 2020 Virtual SSMF Honors Recitals! With two categories for submissions, the Honors Recitals will be showcased during the final performances of the 2020 Festival, as part of our SSMF@Home series. Students may submit multiple works or projects in different categories.
Please complete one application per submission.
Applications are now closed.

For questions, please contact the Festival office.

Category One: Traditional Performance Recital

Applicants should submit a solo work recorded between January 1-June 1, 2020.
Submitted work could either be a movement of a larger work, or a stand-alone solo piece with or without piano accompaniment.

Category Two: Hybrid/Virtual Collaborations

Students who wish to submit a creative project using technology/video editing are encouraged to apply for consideration. Examples of such projects include, but are not limited to:

  • An Acapella App performance project
  • An individual performer playing multiple instruments, edited together to create a complete performance
  • Student composers may submit a work for performance either by festival participants or via a virtual ensemble platform
  • Student performers collaborating with student composers to create a virtual piece

Students may submit multiple works or projects in different categories. Please complete one application per submission. For example, if you submit a solo recording and a group project, you will need to submit two separate applications.
