2022 Tickets On Sale Now!

From June 19th—July 18th the Sewanee Summer Music Festival will host over 40 performances of symphonic, chamber, and vocal music, including 6 aria showcases, 8 symphony orchestra concerts, a special Made in America opera scenes program, and 8 Faculty Artist Series concerts. From Sondheim to Strauss, Adams to Rimsky-Korsakov, this season offers some of the most diverse and wide-ranging programs in our 65-year history. We cannot wait for you to join us!

Our faculty come from leading orchestras, chamber ensembles, conservatories, and university programs. They come to Sewanee each summer to perform, teach, and inspire the next generation.

Each summer, Sewanee assembles leading conductors from across the world who are passionate about music and educating the next generation of musical leaders.

This summer we are celebrating our 65th anniversary season. As we explore our own history and story, our programming weaves a theme of Stories Through Time. Look forward to pieces including Rimsky Korsakov’s Scheherazade, Prokofiev’s Romeo & Juliet Suite, Auerbach’s Icarus, Wagner’s Ride of the Valkyries, and more!

“The day I left Sewanee was the first day I wanted to go back.”
