A unique opportunity for students to rehearse and perform solo concerto repertoire with a full orchestra during the Sewanee Summer Music Festival.
Sewanee’s Concerto Lab is designed for students to have real world, hands-on experiences performing standard repertoire concertos with an orchestra under the baton of professional conductors and mentored by SSMF faculty. Each year, six concertos will be selected to be studied in Concerto Lab. Every student who arrives at SSMF ready to play that concerto will be given the opportunity to do so.
