Sponsorships are a great way to support individual students and sections in the Sewanee Symphony or Cumberland Orchestra. Chair sponsorships go directly to support student scholarships, enabling talented young musicians to attend Sewanee. There are a number of naming opportunities for individuals or businesses who wish to connect with the audiences, participants, and families of the music festival, as well as our greater community.

Our Community
For over 60 years the Sewanee Summer Music Festival has been an integral part of the Mid-Tennessee region. Each summer, our four-week concert season reaches thousands of young musicians, their families, and members of the community who attend our performances in person or online. A month at Sewanee offers over 200 students new musical horizons, lifelong friendships, and the magic that only our Mountain can offer.
We are deeply grateful for the continued support of business leaders in our region. As one of the leading performing arts organizations in Tennessee, we have enjoyed long relationships with The Sewanee Business Alliance, Joseph’s Remodeling Solutions, Russell Barnett Chevrolet, Southern Tennessee Cardiology, and Woodard’s Diamonds and Designs, among many others. The Sewanee Summer Music Festival is a proud member of the Monteagle-Sewanee Rotary Club and Tullahoma Area Chamber of Commerce. In 2019, SSMF was able to award over $100,000 in scholarships to deserving and talented students, thanks to all those who support the festival through donations and sponsorship.

Symphony Concerts
Each Friday and Sunday of the Festival, our largest audiences gather for two separate orchestral concerts, led by world-renowned guest conductors. These concerts are the cornerstone of the Sewanee Summer Music Festival.
Community Concerts
SSMF is dedicated to community outreach, and offers several performances throughout the Festival in neighboring communities. All Community Concerts are free and open to the public.
Orchestral Chairs
Selected by competitive audition, our principal chairs are some of the finest, most accomplished musicians in the Festival. Principal chairs in the Cumberland Orchestra and Sewanee Symphony are eligible for naming rights for the 2023 Festival Season.

Sewanee Summer Music Festival faculty come from leading orchestras and universities across the nation. We showcase our world-class faculty through the Faculty Chamber Series.
